SPORT TV, SPORT TV 2, and TVNET SPORT channels, which are part of the TVNET Platform, hold the exclusive broadcast rights in the country for UEFA's prestigious club tournaments, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League, on Pay-TV (paid television – cable TV, IPTV, OTT, etc.).
The organization told Sport24.az that the open television (Free-TV / FTA) broadcast rights for the tournaments are included in a separate rights package, and these rights belong to the other 2 TV channels that carry out nationwide broadcasting on open broadcast in Azerbaijan.
"We also note that HORECA / commercial demonstration rights (demonstration rights in hotels, restaurants, cafes, pubs, lounges, tea houses, sports bars, and other public-commercial facilities) of the mentioned games are provided exclusively only by these channels.
It should be noted that the demonstration of UEFA games in commercial facilities - restaurants, cafes, hotels, lounges, and other public places - can only be carried out based on the relevant commercial/HORECA rights. Unauthorized and illegal broadcasts are considered a violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan on copyright and related rights and create legal liability," the information emphasized.
