Turkish former footballer and famous sports commentator Sinan Engin harshly criticized the "Fenerbahçe" club. Reportedly by Sport24.az, he shared his thoughts after the Istanbul representative drew with the Czech team "Slavia" in the UEFA Champions League.
Previously having worked as a head coach, Sinan Engin pointed to Azerbaijan's "Sabah" club as an example:
"Our Azerbaijani team "Sabah" defeated this opponent 2:0. "Slavia" is at the level of a village or town team. It's a shame for you, you should be ashamed. They are at the level of a village team yet they are participating in the UEFA Champions League. Look at their lineup. Which of their players would you buy for "Galatasaray", "Fenerbahçe", or "Beşiktaş"?
