Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone commented on the referees' work in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Arsenal.
Idman.Biz reports that the match ended 1-0 in favor of Arsenal.
"There's no point in talking about that obvious penalty not given to Griezmann. There's no point in talking about it now. Sometimes the referees' decisions are good for us, sometimes not. We weren't lucky today," journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Simeone on his X social media page.
In the 56th minute, guest defender Mark Pubill tried to accurately return the ball after Griezmann's shot, but collided with defender Gabriel Magalhaes. Griezmann then took possession of the ball, but Riccardo Calafiori stepped on his foot. Referee Daniel Siebert declared that Pubill had violated the rule in the attack.
