Ukrainian coach Serhiy Rebrov is close to coaching the UAE representative Al-Wahda. Sport24.az reports, citing the Ukrainian press, that the 51-year-old specialist is in the final stages of negotiations regarding his appointment. The details of the contract are unknown.
The former head coach of the Ukrainian national team has already worked in the "Emirates" once in his career. He was "at the helm" of Al-Ain from 2021 to 2023.
It should be noted that Rebrov left the Ukrainian national team last month. Under his leadership, the team lost to Sweden 1:3 in the semi-finals of the play-offs of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round and failed to qualify for the World Cup.
