With the support of UEFA and the organization of AFFA, an educational seminar was organized at Baku secondary school No. 242 within the framework of the "Protecting Children's Rights in Football" project. Sport24.az reports that the seminar was conducted by the project's mentor, Ofelia Gafarova, who is also an expert in project-based learning at the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the event is to protect the rights of children in the football environment, promote a safe and inclusive sports environment, increase legal awareness among students, and conduct awareness-raising work to prevent violence and discrimination.
During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed information about the basic principles of children's rights, safe behavior in football, mutual respect, and team ethics. The event was organized in an interactive format, ensuring the active participation of students, and the topic was explained in more depth through situational tasks and discussions.
The seminars held within the framework of the project support children in recognizing and protecting their rights both in the sports environment and in their daily lives. This initiative makes an important contribution to the formation of a safe environment in schools and the healthy development of young people.
It is planned to continue educational seminars in other educational institutions within the framework of the "Protecting Children's Rights in Football" project.
