Players of the "Serik Belediyespor" club, of which Azerbaijani businessman Tufan Sadigov is a shareholder, are boycotting training.
According to Idman.Biz, citing "Ajansspor", the players of the Turkish club have not been able to receive their salaries and bonuses for eight weeks. Due to the players' protest, yesterday's training session was canceled.
It is reported that some club employees are considering resigning, and the players are also ready for an open protest action. The players intend to wait until November. If there are no payments, they will send an official notice to the club about the termination of the contract.
In addition, the club has not yet paid compensation for the transfer of Alexander Martynov, which was acquired at the beginning of the season. Belarusian club BATE intends to apply to FIFA in this matter.
Sergey Yuran is the head coach of "Serik Belediyespor", which plays in the Turkish First League. Tufan Sadigov, the former investor of Russia's "Khimki", acquired 50% of the club's shares.
