"Sabah" Wins First Championship and Becomes 9th Champion in Azerbaijani Football History

"Sabah" is the only team to win its first championship in Azerbaijani football in the last 18 seasons.

Idman.Biz reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League (PFL) that no club has celebrated its first championship in the years when the Premier League was held under the PFL flag.

The last new champion before the representative of Masazir was "Inter", who won their first title in the 2007/2008 season.
