Decisions made by head coach Rúben Amorim of Italy's "Milan" club regarding young forward Francesco Camarda have sparked discussions.
Idman.Biz reports, citing "Tuttomercatoweb," that although the Portuguese specialist stated at the beginning of the season that he would give the 18-year-old footballer more playing time, he is currently being criticized for not yet fulfilling his promise.
The reason is that Camarda remained on the substitutes' bench in the match in which "Milan" lost 0-3 away to "Burnley" in the third round of the European League.
Although main striker Gonçalo Ramos could not participate in the match due to injury, Amorim did not bring Camarda onto the field. Instead, 20-year-old Alfadjo Sissse played as the central striker.
The publication recalled that Amorim openly expressed his trust in Camarda on August 27.
"I want to be in a situation where I am forced to put Camarda on the field. He should feel important and know that he is the second attacker, not the third. He will get his chance to play. I truly believe in him," said the Portuguese specialist.
However, although approximately two months have passed since that statement, the footballer born in 2008 has played just over an hour for the main team this season.
It is worth noting that "Milan" has lost two of its three matches in the European League. In the Italian Serie A, however, the team is unbeaten after seven rounds.
