The financial gap between the English Premier League and other European championships continues to widen rapidly.
Lent.az reports that, according to British media, "Burnley," which was relegated from the Premier League to the "Championship" this season, earned approximately 58 million euros from television rights.
For comparison, Spanish champion "Barcelona" will receive only 53 million euros from television rights.
Interestingly, "Burnley" has been relegated from the Premier League for the third time in the last six years, but even in this situation, the club continues to generate significant revenue thanks to the Premier League's incredibly expensive television deals.
The financial advantage of English clubs is considered one of the main reasons for their dominance in European competitions. This season, English representatives have once again reached the final stage of European competitions, and "Arsenal," "Aston Villa," and "Crystal Palace" are also among the finalists.
It should be noted that "Aston Villa," which faced Germany's "Freiburg" in the final, became the winner of the Europa League.
Meanwhile, despite significantly lower television revenues, Barcelona compensates for this with global brand recognition, advertising contracts, merchandise sales, and ticket sales.
