Press Secretary of the Swiss Football Association, Sergio Afuso, has explained the reason why the national team will not participate in the U-15 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement on this matter to the Sport24.ru inbox:
"The Swiss Football Association celebrates all forms of sport and culture. We received the invitation from FIFA on June 25. However, on July 9, we declined due to sports and technical reasons.
Currently, our U-15 national team is in the process of identifying young talents. It will gather at the inter-regional training center for this purpose until December. After the tournament to be held in mid-December, we will form two groups with 30 players each. This division will be based on the players' pace of physical development (whether they are early or late bloomers)".
It should be noted that the World Cup to be held under the banner of FIFA will take place in Baku from October 22nd to 31st.
