Although Real Madrid is interested in signing Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, the London club does not intend to release the Italian player easily.
Idman.Biz reports, citing CaughtOffside, that Arsenal may only agree to sell the 24-year-old defender if a bid exceeding 100 million euros (approximately 199 million manats) is received.
The Madrid representative has already contacted the player's close circle to gather information about the possible transfer conditions. However, Real Madrid has not yet sent an official offer.
Calafiori, who moved from Bologna to Arsenal in 2024, can play both as a center-back and a left-back. His ability to progress with the ball and join the midfield plays a crucial role in Mikel Arteta's tactical system.
The London club considers the Italian player a key member of Arteta's long-term project. Calafiori's contract, which is valid until June 2029, also strengthens Arsenal's negotiating position.
The player himself does not intend to put pressure on the club to leave.
It is noted that Calafiori's current market value is estimated at approximately 65 million euros.
