"Real" has already contacted Lionel Scaloni and is considering appointing him as head coach. Sport24.az reports that the discussion most likely concerns an appointment after the 2026 World Cup.
Scaloni's contract with the Argentine national team is valid until the end of the 2026 World Cup, so his move to the club in the near future does not seem so realistic.
Given his achievements, this candidacy looks very serious indeed:
Winner of the 2022 World Cup
Winner of the 2021 and 2024 Copa America
Winner of the 2022 Finalissima
It is these qualities, the ability to work with top-level players and deliver results under great pressure, that attract the attention of Florentino Perez.
Frankly, this would be a very interesting choice for "Real". Scaloni has shown himself to be excellent at the national team level, but club football, especially working in a club like "Real", is a completely different pace: games every 3 days, transfers, constant rotation and high pressure to deliver results.
