According to the source, the Algerian Football Federation considers the 66-year-old Spanish specialist as the priority candidate. Jose Peseiro and Roberto Martinez are also on the list of candidates.
Note that Benitez's last workplace was at "Panathinaikos". He left the Greek club in May 2026. Previously, the Spanish coach worked only at the club level.
