World-famous former footballer Ricardo Quaresma has assessed the current state of his legendary team, Besiktas. Quaresma stated that he was saddened by the state of the Black and White team and said: "Currently, the strongest team in the Super League is Galatasaray."
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that Quaresma said he was saddened by the situation of Besiktas: "To be honest, I'm sad that Besiktas is far from the goal of fighting for the championship. Neither the squad structure nor the football played gives me pleasure. I think they should be more careful in choosing both players and coaches."
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the situation, the Portuguese star added: "As a fan, of course, I'm sad. It's not easy to see my club going through such a period. But this is football and I hope that next season we will see a Besiktas that can compete shoulder-to-shoulder with Galatasaray."
Quaresma stated that Galatasaray is the strongest team in Turkey and said: "I can't say that Fenerbahce is better than Besiktas either, because it isn't. But right now I see a very strong Galatasaray in the league. Galatasaray is currently the strongest team in the Super League. In terms of squad and coach, as a fan, I'm not happy at all."
