The head of the club's press service, Anar Hajiyev, said this in a statement to Idman.Biz.
The Spanish midfielder, who was injured in the 39th minute of the postponed match against "Neftchi" from the 21st round of the Misli Premier League as a result of a harsh tackle by rival football player Emil Safarov, was immediately taken to the hospital. According to Hajiyev, examinations revealed that Montiel's finger was broken.
The head of the press service emphasized that the injury was serious:
"Montiel will undergo surgery today. He is expected to be out of the green fields for at least a month. Therefore, it can be said that the current season is over for the football player."
It should be noted that the "Neftchi" - "Qarabag" match ended with a 2:1 victory for the home team.
