The presentation of the book "50 Years in Football" by Boris Khetagurov, an Honored Doctor of Azerbaijan, has taken place. According to Sport24.az, the event was held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, veteran football players, and other individuals.
First, information about Boris Khegagurov's 50-year career was provided, and a video was presented.
Farid Gayibov addressed the event participants and greeted them.
He stated that the renowned sports doctor is a professional in his field:
"Such events are very important for veterans and young people. It is important for veterans to share their experiences. This book contains many interesting events. Boris muallim also supported the veteran players here in the past. He knows them all well. Working for years in a team like "Neftchi" is an honor for him. Boris Khetagurov has also worked in our national team. I can talk a lot about him. Even now, he gives advice to some doctors. When you say a sports doctor, everyone remembers Boris Khetagurov. Thank you."
Zemfira Meftadinova, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, said that doctors play a big role in an athlete's life:
"Injuries are inevitable in big sports. I wish Boris muallim good health and a long life. You are an example for the younger generation."
Veteran football player, Chairman of the Football Veterans Union Ogtay Abdullayev emphasized that Boris Khetagurov dedicated his youth to football:
"I thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports for supporting the creation of the book. I wish you to present your next book at the age of 90."
Another veteran football player, Nazim Suleymanov, shared his memories of B. Khetagurov:
"He achieved historical achievements with "Neftchi". I learned a lot from him. We also worked in the same team in 2004. We worked with such a wonderful person. Today is a remarkable day in Azerbaijani football and sports. He shared his experience in the book. There is a lot to talk about Boris Khetagurov.
