The Professional Football League has warned the newly promoted clubs that will play in the Azerbaijan Premier League in the 2025/2026 season about shortcomings.
Idman.biz reports that Sanan Abdullayev, the Media and Marketing Director of the organization, told "Report".
He noted that the shortcomings in the clubs are not only related to stadiums: "Of course, as the Professional Football League, like others, regular meetings are held and discussions are held with the newly joined clubs in the Premier League. Their stadiums have been inspected and each of them has been given detailed information about the shortcomings. The AFFA Executive Committee has given the new participants a one-year grace period, and they already know their jobs. The clubs can provide more detailed information about what steps will be taken regarding these processes.
They have been warned about certain shortcomings. Shortcomings are not only related to the infrastructure of the stadiums. Advice was also given on what steps should be taken in terms of personnel. We have done what is necessary. Will they play in their own fields, or will they rent another stadium that meets Premier League standards? It would be more accurate if club officials talked about this".
It should be noted that "Gabala", "Karvan" and "Imishli" clubs have been licensed to participate in the 2025/2026 season of the Premier League.
