Former Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has criticized Manuel Neuer's potential participation with the German national team in the 2026 World Cup.
İdman.Biz reports that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the summer in three countries - the USA, Canada and Mexico. Argentina are the current world champions.
"If Julian Nagelsmann is now considering replacing the goalkeeper, that would be risky... If Nagelsmann plans to invite Neuer and then he can't play due to injury, what will he say to Baumann to ensure his full confidence in the goal?
In certain situations, this is of course possible, but it is difficult to perform at your best day after day. The body is very fragile; it needs more time to recover. Playing at a high level at the World Cup would be a difficult test for Manuel," Kahn said in an interview with Sport1.
