AFFA officials visited Uzbekistan as part of a business trip. Sport24.az reports that the delegation included Orkhan Hasanov, Advisor to the Secretary General of AFFA, Rahim Hasanov, Chairman of the Referees Committee, Bahruz Teymurov, Head of the Referees Department, and Rahim Balakishiyev, Head of the Information Technology and Digitalization Department.
They closely familiarized themselves with the local football infrastructure and the conditions created, and also held a series of meetings with local experts in various fields, exchanging views.
As part of the visit, the first vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Ravshan Irmatov, met with the Azerbaijani delegation. The expansion of cooperation between the football institutions of the two countries, exchange of experience and opportunities for joint activities in various areas of football were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the development of the refereeing system, the training of young referees and the increase of their professional level.
In addition, there was an exchange of views on the digitalization of football, the application of modern IT solutions, the management of databases and the development of children's and youth football.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects in the future.
