Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has spoken about his time with the "Merseysiders."
Idman.Biz reports that the Egyptian footballer will leave the team in the summer.
"I remember when I first came here, no one used to do extra training before training. I can't say that anyone was doing extra training: Milli [James Milner], Adam [Lallana], and Sadio [Mane] used to train after team training. If I'm wrong, I apologise.
I came here wanting to train both before and after training. I always want to work, and then other players will do extra training too. That's what always makes me happy. It's something I'm very proud of, and frankly, I love this club so much; I'm spending my best years here... I really want the kids to continue in the same spirit and always work on themselves.
I want the kids to continue to be successful here and for the club to be in the best condition. And that's one of my main concerns. I spoke to one of the staff, to the management, and I told them, 'When I leave, you need new role models'. We need people who go to the gym often, and others should look at them and think, 'Aha, he's doing extra training, I should do it too'.
Without that, the club will struggle, because it's very important. We need to set high standards, like getting people to the gym early. Players need to go to the gym. People need to take care of themselves, and I don't want that to change after I or someone else leaves. I just want that standard to be in the club, because it's very important for the team to continue winning, and that's one of my main concerns," Salah told Sky Sports.
