Argentine national team captain and forward Lionel Messi has shared his thoughts on the favorites for the upcoming World Cup.

"We have to understand that there are other favorites besides us who are approaching the competition in better form.
France is very strong again, they have a lot of high-level players. There are also Spain and Brazil. Although the latter has not shown its best game for a while, it is always a contender. I think Portugal also has a very competitive team," Messi said in an interview with journalist Pollo Alvarez.
