The Spanish football team "Villarreal" has officially announced that it will part ways with head coach Marcelino Garcia Toral. In an official statement released by the club, it was stated that the 60-year-old specialist will leave the team at the end of the current season.
Idman.Biz, referring to the "AS" publication, reports that Marcelino's second stint at the club will end on May 24 with the last match of the season against Atletico Madrid. He achieved great success in the club, where he was re-appointed in November 2023. The specialist, who took the team out of the outsiders' zone and qualified for the Champions League for the second time in a row, also went down in the club's history as the coach with the most games played (298 matches) and the most wins (145 wins).
However, the parties have decided not to extend the contract. According to the Spanish press, this is due to disagreements in some management issues. Villarreal, currently third in the Spanish La Liga, thanked Marcelino for his services and wished him success in his future career.
