According to the source, the English club sees the 25-year-old footballer as a replacement for Casemiro, who will leave the team at the end of the current season.
It is reported that "Botafogo" does not want to sell Danilo for less than 40 million euros. "Zenit", "Fulham", Bayer Leverkusen, "Napoli", "Palmeiras" and "Flamengo" are also interested in the midfielder.
It should be noted that Danilo has been playing for "Botafogo" since the summer of 2025. He has participated in 38 matches in all tournaments for the team, scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists. The midfielder's current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2029.
