The Italian Football Federation has made a decision regarding national team head coach Gennaro Gattuso. Sport24.az reports that the 48-year-old specialist has parted ways with the team.
This was reported by the federation's press service.
The contract with the Italian specialist was terminated by mutual agreement.
It should be noted that Gennaro Gattuso was appointed as the head coach of the national team in June 2025. The team won 6 out of 8 matches under his leadership. The Italian national team failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing to Bosnia and Herzegovina in a penalty shootout in the play-off final of the DÇ-2026 qualifying round.
