Former Chelsea and England footballer Frank Lampard has been nominated for the Championship Manager of the Year award (the second-highest level championship in the English football league system after the Premier League – ed.).
Idman.Biz reports that the BBC has reported this.
Lampard, who currently coaches Coventry, will compete for the award against Alex Neil from Millwall, Sergey Yakirovich from Hull City, and Kim Hellberg, the head coach of Middlesbrough.
The winners will be announced on Sunday, April 19, at the annual English Football League awards ceremony in London.
Coventry, led by Lampard, needs to collect only 4 points in the remaining 5 games to be promoted to the English Premier League. If this happens, the team will return to the elite for the first time in 25 years.
It should be noted that in 2025, Burnley head coach Scott Parker was awarded the Championship Manager of the Year award.
