After being accused of sexual assault against a minor and arrested, the club museum removed all exhibits related to Omar Bravo, a former Mexican national team and "Guadalajara" player.
İdman.Biz reports, citing the Spanish newspaper "Marca", that the section dedicated to the footballer in the museum at Guadalajara's "Akron" stadium has been completely abolished.
The museum previously displayed a commemorative jersey noting Omar Bravo's 155 goals, a list of the footballer's goals, and other items. However, that corner has now been replaced with a new exposition dedicated to "Guadalajara" players who have played for the Mexican national team in world championships. At the same time, Omar Bravo, once considered one of Guadalajara's legendary figures, has also lost his status as Mexico's ambassador representing the country at the 2026 World Cup.
So far, the Guadalajara leadership has not issued an official statement regarding the removal of Omar Bravo's jersey from the museum or his case.
For information, according to the prosecutor's office in Mexico, the former football player has repeatedly committed violent acts against a teenage girl. It is believed that this is not his first such act.
Bravo has already been placed in the Puente-Grande prison and will soon appear in court.
