This wasn't just a simple argument, but a real fight. Sport24.az, citing Marca, reports that the conflict between Valverde and Tchouameni started on Wednesday, and the tension between the players escalated even further yesterday.
During the morning training session, Federico refused to shake hands with Tchouameni. During training, the Uruguayan repeatedly hit the French player hard, which angered Oreleanu. At the end of the training, a conflict arose between the players, which turned into a fight. During the altercation, Valverde's head hit the corner of the table. The seriously injured footballer was taken to the hospital.
According to AS, the conflict continued in the dressing room. Tchouameni dealt heavy blows to Valverde, as a result of which the footballer fell and injured his head. Federico started bleeding. He was taken in a wheelchair to the medical room at the base, and from there to the hospital. There he was stitched up and sent home.
Immediately after the incident, Real Madrid director Jose Angel Sanchez held an emergency meeting in the dressing room. It was also reported that a disciplinary investigation has been launched. This investigation may lead to players being fined or even removed from the team.
