FIFA president Gianni Infantino was hoping to increase his salary to $30 million a year. According to "The Times", if the "FIFA Forward Enterprise" project was successful, the official would have achieved his goal. Infantino was expecting bonuses for leading the organization.
The new structure was designed to combine FIFA's commercial activities and tournament organization. However, the initiative was met with widespread criticism from officials, federations, and other relevant organizations.
Even journalist Romain Molina reported that Infantino might resign due to loss of support within the organization. As a result, the FIFA president abandoned plans to sell the rights to the World Cup to private investors.
