Emrah Çelikel, CEO and Board Member of "Karabakh," spoke about his meeting with Ali Koç, President of "Fenerbahce," which took place yesterday.
Idman.biz reports that the official of the Aghdam club made a statement to "Report" about this.
He stated that the reason for Ali Koç's visit to Baku was not related to football: "Ali Koç came to Baku for business matters. Therefore, our meeting was short. He spoke very sincerely and talked about his love for Azerbaijan. Our conversation was interesting. Possible cooperation opportunities between the clubs were discussed in the future. Necessary work will be done regarding this, and then a statement will be made to the public."
Çelikel emphasized that holding a test match between the "Karabakh" and "Fenerbahce" clubs is always on the agenda: "This issue is always a topic of discussion. However, it is not easy to realize this wish because both teams have tight schedules. There are certain ideas, and we plan to implement them. During the meeting, we saw that Ali Koç is ready for cooperation that can benefit both "Karabakh" and "Fenerbahce." There is no agreed project at the moment. However, both teams will carry out certain preparatory work on their part, and cooperation issues will be discussed again in the future."
Finally, the club official stated that "Karabakh" will announce its new transfers in the coming days: "We announced our new transfer to the public two days ago. There will definitely be new players coming. We know that fans are eagerly awaiting this. We will announce other transfers in the near future."
It should be noted that Asif Asgarov, another member of the Board of Directors of "Karabakh," also participated in the meeting with Ali Koç. At the end of the meeting, the President of "Fenerbahce" was presented with the form and a souvenir of the Aghdam representative.
