President of the European Weightlifting Federation, Astrit Hasani, met with the President of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation, Kamran Nabizade, and Vice President Firdovsi Umudov as part of his visit to our country.
Idman.biz reports that Astrit Hasani, who visited the training base of our national teams, got acquainted with the conditions created for athletes here.
The guest was informed that all the necessary conditions have been created at the training base for athletes to stay, eat, rehabilitate and train. During the conversation, the organization of an international coaching seminar planned to be held in Baku in the near future was discussed. In addition to foreign coaches, specialists in the field of anti-doping are also expected to participate in the seminar.
At the same time, the prospects of organizing other prestigious events in Azerbaijan, which has the status of the European Weightlifting Center of the International Weightlifting Federation, were discussed. Later, the official guest was informed about the Weightlifting Center located in Shuvalan, as well as the international and national competitions held here.
It was noted that all conditions have been created in the center for organizing seminars and trainings, as well as large-scale competitions. President of the European Weightlifting Federation Astrit Hasani emphasized that the existing infrastructure is important for the development of sports. He noted that the great support provided to sports at the state level in Azerbaijan is an exemplary step.
During the meeting, the President of the European Weightlifting Federation, Astrit Hasani, presented commemorative medals of the federation to Kamran Nabizade and Firdovsi Umudov. In turn, Kamran Nabizade presented a special gift decorated with national ornaments to Astrit Hasani on behalf of AAF.
