These words were said by Elnura Emreli, the mother of Azerbaijani national team footballer Mahir Emreli.
She stated that the 26-year-old striker does not have a personal problem with head coach Torsten Lieberknecht.
"But it seems that the coach has a problem with Mahir. Because he is not given enough chances in the games. We don't know the reason," she said in a statement to AZERTAC.
E. Emreli said that the football player is focused on his current club:
"He does not consider offers from other clubs because his contract is still valid. This comes from his character. He focuses on where he is in the team. The season is still going on. We do not inform Mahir about this unless there is a real offer."
It should be noted that Mahir Emreli was transferred to Kaiserslautern from Nuremberg at the beginning of last season. The Azerbaijani national team striker has signed a 3-year contract with the second Bundesliga club.
