Former Azerbaijani national team footballer Filip Ozobic may leave "Turan Tovuz" at the end of the season. Sport24.az received information about this from a reliable source.
The 35-year-old midfielder signed a 1+1 year contract with the Western representative in the summer of 2025.
The Croatian-born footballer intends to stay in the team. However, the club management will make the final decision regarding his future.
Head coach Kurban Berdyev requested the strengthening of the squad in order to form a more ambitious team next season.
Negotiations are currently ongoing between the parties. Even if the "Grey Wolves" keep Ozobic in the squad, they plan to transfer another footballer to that position. In this case, the experienced midfielder may mainly play the role of a rotation player.
It should be noted that Filip Ozobic participated in 26 games (1451 minutes) in the current Misli Premier League season and scored 5 goals. He also played in 3 matches (114 minutes) in the Azerbaijan Cup.
