Discussions about referee decisions in the Misli Premier League continue unabated. In particular, the matches of "Kapaz", managed by chief referee Ali Aliyev, attract attention.
According to statistics, the Ganja representative won 2 matches and lost 3 matches under his management.
However, decisions in some matches have created serious discussions.
In the 2nd round of the season, "Kapaz" lost to "Karvan-Yevlax" 2:3 away. In that match, three players of the opposing team were penalized with yellow cards, while only one player in "Kapaz" received a warning. The most talked about moment was the penalty awarded to "Karvan-Yevlax" in the 90+6th minute. Nevertheless, "Kapaz" could not escape defeat.
In the first match of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, "Turan Tovuz" defeated "Kapaz" 1:0. In the match, two football players of Tovuz received yellow cards. The most scandalous moment of the game was the removal of head coach Kurban Berdyev and his assistant Yunis Huseynov from the technical zone with red cards. The referee's protocol stated that Berdyev pushed the referee. This cost the Tovuz club dearly. Because Berdyev did not take part in the technical zone in two matches of the semi-final and the team stopped fighting in the tournament.
In the 20th round, "Kapaz" suffered a 1:3 defeat against "Neftchi". Although there was no serious discussion about refereeing in this game, the Ganja representative made a weak impression in front of the opponent.
One of the most resonant matches took place in the 25th round. "Kapaz" sensationally defeated "Garabagh" 1:0. After the match, the penalty episode not given in favor of "Garabagh" was widely discussed and the referee's decision was not accepted unequivocally.
In the 30th round, "Kapaz" won 2:1 against "Sumgayit". Both goals of the Ganja club were scored from penalty kicks. The penalties assigned in this match also caused different opinions in the football community.
Thus, although the statistical results do not show that "Kapaz" has achieved a clear advantage in the games managed by Ali Aliyev, the penalty and disciplinary decisions made in some matches have become a topic of discussion. This brings the questions about refereeing management back to the agenda.
