Famous Italian coach Fabio Capello has harshly criticized the performance shown by Inter in the UEFA Champions League.
İdman.Biz, citing "Calciomercato", reports that the 80-year-old expert was dissatisfied with the representative of Milan's performance in the match against Shakhtar.
Capello considered the approach to the game adopted by head coach Cristian Chivu incorrect:
"I saw a bad and lifeless Inter last evening. The team did not play on the field in the first half, they were wandering around. There was no speed in the players' movements, they did not press. They shot goal only once in the first half".
The experienced expert emphasized that the team only became active after the 60th minute:
"Everything changed after the head coach's substitutions. The players started to play more actively and we saw a different Inter on the field. But you cannot shift to a high speed only in the last half an hour. Playing for only 30 minutes at such a level is not enough".
Capello believes that Chivu must change the team's approach to the games and the players should demonstrate higher intensity from the first minutes.
