The head of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Samir Haud, discussed with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at a summit of football officials the idea of holding the 2029 Club World Cup in Brazil. Sport24.az reports that the local federation's press service has released information about this.
Haud said the following about the meeting with the FIFA president:
"Everything started with an introductory speech. I explained my goals as the head of the CBF and said that we want to be closer to FIFA. I highly appreciated the event and the level of Brazilian clubs, and finally, I proposed holding the next World Cup in our country.
Gianni Infantino was very happy and said that it was entirely possible. Now we will work to make it happen. This will be a big celebration."
It should be noted that the Club World Championship was organized for the first time this year in the USA with the participation of 32 teams.
