A new project has been launched at the Republican Velodrome by the joint organization of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (AVIF), the Ministry of Science and Education, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that within the framework of the project, a special training course has been opened for coaches who will work in the direction of the development of cycling in the regions.
The main goal of the training is to popularize cycling in the regions, attract young people to this field, and train qualified specialists. Coaches participating in the courses will be taught both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Within the framework of the program, training methods that meet international standards, methods of working with athletes, and safety rules in cycling will be the focus of attention.
The organizers of the project believe that such courses will give a new impetus to the development of sports in the regions, and will also make an important contribution to the training of professional cyclists in the country.
Sahib Alakbarov, First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, emphasized that this project is of particular importance for the future of cycling: "The main goal of these trainings is to support the development of sports in the regions and create conditions for the training of qualified coaches. There has always been interest in and love for cycling in Azerbaijan. This is important for both the protection of physical health and the effective organization of young people's leisure time. I am sure that the coaches participating in the courses will play an important role in attracting hundreds of young people to sports and discovering new talents in the future."
S. Alakbarov also stated that the federation constantly keeps the development of cycling in the regions in the center of attention and such projects will be of a continuous nature.
Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasani also said in his speech that cycling plays an important role in the lives of young people: "Cycling is important not only for achieving success in competitions, but also for promoting a healthy lifestyle. The development of this sport among schoolchildren and young people will have a positive impact on their physical and psychological health. The courses we are opening today will contribute to the formation of professional personnel in the regions in the future and increase the interest of the new generation in sports. The project will also have a positive impact on the recognition of the regions."
Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, touched upon the importance of the development of cycling and the training of new coaches. He stated that such projects will give a great impetus to the mass character of sports in the regions. According to him, all conditions have been created for the persons who will participate in the training.
It should be noted that the courses, which will last for 12 days with the participation of coaches from 10 regions, will be organized at the Republican Velodrome.
