Borussia Dortmund will take the field against Sabah in the Champions League league phase after an extremely demanding travel schedule.
Idman.Biz reports, citing Germany's "Welt", that the Dortmund representative has covered approximately 11,300 kilometers in seven days due to trips to Norway, Berlin, and Baku.
Niko Kovač's team lost 0-1 to Norway's Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League last week, then drew 0-0 against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. The trip to Baku will complete the German side's intensive travel week.
Having failed to win in the last three official matches, Borussia will try to end their winless streak in the Azerbaijani capital. The Dorticls will not be able to count on Greek forward Konstantinos Karetsas due to a ligament injury in his foot.
The German publication also noted that Sabah defeated Slavia 2-0 in the second matchday of the Champions League league phase, securing their first victory in the tournament's history.
It should be noted that the Sabah – Borussia Dortmund match will kick off today at 20:45 Baku time.
