Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva gave a statement after the Premier League's 37th round match against Bournemouth (1:1). Sport24.az reports that after this result, the "citizens" lost their chances of winning the championship and the title went to Arsenal.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder said they were disappointed:
"We are all disappointed. We know that this is the main title of the season. We worked harder than anyone for it. We fought until the end. I am proud of the boys, but at this level it is not enough. I hate losing. If you want to play for a club like Manchester City, you have to be like that. I hope that next season everyone will feel that they want to achieve more."
It should be noted that Arsenal, with 82 points, became the English champion with one round remaining until the end of the season. Manchester City, with 78 points, took 2nd place.
