"Barcelona" has chosen Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez as its main target for the summer transfer window of 2026.

According to the source, the Catalan club will mobilize all its resources to include the Argentine forward in its squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, "Barcelona" will only be able to realize this transfer if the financial fair play requirements of the Spanish La Liga are met. The club believes that Alvarez's playing style is similar to that of another South American striker, Luis Suarez, and for this reason they are ready to pay 82 million euros for his transfer.
In the current season, Alvarez has played 27 games for the club in all tournaments, scored 11 goals and provided five assists. The reputable "Transfermarkt" portal estimates the footballer's market value at 100 million euros.
