The Czech Paralympic Committee has announced its decision to withdraw from the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games.
İdman.Biz reports that the reason for this decision is its position regarding the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes.
The organization emphasized that it has always opposed the return of representatives from these countries to international competitions, citing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The Czech side believes that sports cannot ignore its values. The delegation will not participate in the opening ceremony, but athletes will compete in their respective events.
It is worth noting that Ukraine had previously expressed a similar position.
