The Norwegian national team has set a new record as the team with the most wins in a single Winter Olympics.
İdman.Biz reports that Norway won 17 gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, surpassing their previous record of 16 medals won at the 2022 Games in Beijing.
Biathlete Johannes Dale-Skjevdal won his country's 17th gold medal in the 15 km mass start race. In addition to biathlon, Norwegian athletes won gold medals in cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and speed skating. Skier Johannes Klæbo won the most medals for the country.
The 2026 Olympic Games will be held until February 22. A total of 116 medal events will be held.
