The management of Amsterdam's Ajax club has held preliminary talks with Liverpool's Dutch coach Arne Slot.
İdman.Biz reports this with reference to Goal.
Ajax is interested in appointing Slot as head coach if he leaves Liverpool at the end of the current season.
No official announcement has been made regarding Slot's departure from the club, but if they fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, the Reds management may decide to part ways with the Dutch specialist.
Currently, Ajax is managed by Oscar Garcia, who previously worked in the club's youth team. However, the management sees his appointment as a temporary solution.
Arne Slot's contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027. After 35 Premier League matches, the Merseyside team is fourth in the standings with 58 points.
