Besiktas president Serdar Adalı invited Arda Turan, the coach of Donetsk Shakhtar, to the position of head coach of the "eagles". Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the Ukrainian portal "sportarena".
Adalı met with Turan, who thanked him for the offer. However, Turan asked the other party for time to make a decision. He also stated that he was interested in considering offers from other European clubs.
The president of the Istanbul club decided to hold another meeting with Turan in the coming days.
It should be noted that under Arda's leadership, the "miners", who became the champion of Ukraine, also advanced to the semi-finals of the Conference League. The Turkish coach has been at the helm of Shakhtar since May of last year.
