Italian specialist Andrea Maldera will become the new head coach of the Ukrainian national team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 54-year-old coach is close to signing a contract with the Ukrainian Football Association.
Maldera's last coaching job was at Marseille, where he was part of the staff of his compatriot Roberto De Zerbi. Maldera also worked with the same coach at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Italian specialist also worked at Milan in the coaching staff of Massimiliano Allegri, Leonardo, Filippo Inzaghi and Clarence Seedorf, and from 2016 to 2021 he was in the Ukrainian national team as part of the coaching staff of head coach Andriy Shevchenko.
