Aghasalim Mirjavadov, the former head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, shared his impressions of the "Legends Cup" held yesterday between the "Neftchi 2000s" and "Premier League Coaches" teams, organized by the Mini-Football Federation.
Idman.biz reports that the expert stated in his statement to "Report" that the match was very magnificent.
According to him, the game was very magnificent: "I think it will be easier for fans to come to the stadium at the world championship. My impressions are good, there were some football players that we hadn't seen for 6-7 months. We talked about past times and games. Everyone wanted to play. It was necessary to prepare. I even told the children to gather and play once or twice a week. Because there was no time to get together collectively before the match. The coaches work in their clubs. One of the things I liked was that the game was very aggressive and the players were eager. Also, when they fell during the fight, they helped each other and lifted them from the ground. This is an important factor, kindness remains".
The coach with the "Shohrat" order did not want to single out anyone from those who appeared on the field: "I didn't predict any results before the game. But I was thinking about football. For the result, you have to work and train for at least 2-3 weeks. There were players who hadn't played football for 2-3 months due to their work. I wouldn't want to single anyone out. But those working in the clubs were in better shape. Overall, I liked the approach".
He also touched upon the refereeing: "True, there were sometimes complaints about their decisions. But look how many years they haven't been managing. There is a big difference between watching from the outside and being on the field. Still, thank you, they were in their roles".
Mirjavadov also answered the question about whether there would be such a match next time: "They didn't tell us anything about it. But it is important to hold such matches often. It's a commendable idea. We will probably meet with the veterans and take appropriate steps according to the situation. Because some of them have time constraints, they cannot leave work and come. But each of the veterans has an immense love for football. It was possible to feel this during the game. I congratulated everyone after the game".
It should be noted that the main time of the match organized by the Azerbaijan Mini-Football Federation ended with a score of 1:1. In the penalty shootout, the "Premier League Coaches" played more accurately - 3:2. "Neftchi 2000s" was led by Aghasalim Mirjavadov, and "Premier League Coaches" was led by Kurban Berdyev ("Turan Tovuz") as head coach.
