A record has been set in Spanish football. 70-year-old Anhel Mateos, who played for the "Colugna" football team in the Spanish fifth division, has become the oldest football player in the country.

Mateos, who played for local clubs during his student years, continued to play sports for many years while working in the mines. The offer from the "Colugna" management brought the goalkeeper, who is considered a legend of Asturian football, back to the green fields.
