The "Vugar Gashimov Open 2025" international chess tournament, jointly organized by the Vugar Gashimov Chess Foundation and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, has concluded.
Iman.biz reports that Ahmad Ahmadzade became the winner of the competition, scoring 8 points, more than anyone else after 9 rounds.
Tunar Davudov and Murad Ibrahimli, each scoring 7.5 points, shared the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
It should be noted that 205 chess players from 6 countries participated in the tournament. According to the regulations, the winner of the competition won a cup and a cash prize of 4500 manats.
The "Vugar Gashimov Open", held for the 11th time, has been included in the "Azerbaijan Chess Tour" project this year.
