Three-year-old Sarvaqya Singh Kushwaha from Madhya Pradesh, India, has been registered as the youngest member of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Sport24.az reports that he was officially admitted to FIDE membership at the age of 3 years, 7 months and 20 days.
With this, Sarvaqya broke the record of his compatriot Anish Sarkar. Sarkar became a FIDE member at the age of 3 years, 8 months and 19 days.
It should be noted that Kushwaha has also distinguished himself with successful performances in a number of chess tournaments held in his country and is currently ranked 1572nd.
