On April 3, within the framework of WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organizations) President Roy Baker's visit to our country, a meeting was held with Adil Aliyev, Honorary President of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, Head of the Surakhani District Executive Authority, and Orkhan Aliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation.
Idman.Biz reports that during the meeting, there was an extensive exchange of views on the current state of kickboxing in Azerbaijan, development prospects, as well as planned local and international competitions.
In his speech, Roy Baker highly appreciated Azerbaijan's achievements in kickboxing in recent years and stated that our country has become one of the leading centers in the region for the development of this sport. He especially noted the projects implemented by the federation and the work done, highly appreciated the successes of our athletes in the international arena, and expressed confidence that cooperation would be further expanded in the future.
The meeting also discussed issues such as attracting young people to sports, organizing international tournaments in Azerbaijan, and more active participation of the federation in global projects.
