U.S. President Donald Trump bought stock in "TKO Group Holdings" (owner of UFC and WWE) shortly before actively promoting a UFC event to be held on the White House lawn.
İdman.Biz reports that this was reported by "HuffPost" with reference to Trump's financial statement.
According to published data, on March 25, Trump bought "TKO Group Holdings" shares worth between $15,000 and $50,000. Later, on June 14, he began actively promoting "UFC Freedom 250", which will be held on the White House grounds and will coincide with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
Critics have already accused the president of a potential conflict of interest. Jordan Libowitz, a representative for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said that using the White House to promote a company Trump has invested in is one of the most blatant examples of mixing public and private interests.
Trump himself had previously called the upcoming event "the greatest show on Earth". The event is organized by UFC, led by the president's longtime ally Dana White.
